Headland Park Trails - Cache #3
Welcome to a Headland Park Trails cache!
This cache is around the cannon emplacements near Frenchy's Cafe. The fortifications here on Georges Heights were built in 1877 as part of an 'outer line' of harbour defences. At the time this was considered the best way to defend Sydney from attack.
Headland Park has captivating views of Sydney harbour and the city. It is a wonderful area with new walks and trails being added every few years. The walks have scenic views looking out into Sydney Harbour and over Rose Bay. There are many activities in and around Headland Park and there are cafes and restaurants on the Mosman Strip (Military Rd).
The cache is a small bison tube that is wrapped in black tape.
After finding the cache, please make sure it is well tucked away in the exact same spot that you found it in and that it cannot be seen by someone casually walking past.
