Geocache Description:

Welcome to Dufield Pond

The most recently opened District site allows site users to hike a 0.75 mile interpretive nature trail.  While this side of the site does not having fishing, visitors can travel around the block to the Country Club Road entrance and fish the 3-acre pond.

Elevation

While on the nature trail, you will notice a steep change in elevation.  The trail may be less than a mile, but on that trail you will change approximately 75 feet in elevation!  This change and its unique habitat make it one of the best sites.  From this cache, be sure to enjoy the view.

GeoSeries Question

Volunteer Coordinator Denice Beck is particularly fond of this site because of its diverse habitat and recreational opportunities.  She can fish on the pond off of Country Club or explore the wooded area off of McConnel.  What is the other reason she enjoys the site so much?
