It's that time again! The Tri-State Geocachers are sponsoring another hockey event here in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton. As the temps are getting cooler, hockey is just heating up, so this is the perfect time and place for a little geo-fun with a hockey theme.
The WBS Penguins have again offered us swag to run another brief group activity like the ones we've held here before. So here's the plan: we'll gather at the posted event coordinates at 5:40pm. There will be the usual sign-in and geochat. Then, we'll have a game/activity with some cool, hockey-themed prizes provided by the Penguins themselves. We'll also pose for our group photo - so if you can, come dressed in your best hockey garb!
There is a hockey game scheduled for that evening immediately after our event, and the Tri-State Geocachers have arranged for a group deal to attend the game, but this geocaching event does not require you to attend the game or purchase anything in order sign the log. Please plan on attending the entire event to ensure you're in the group photo. This event should be ending by about 6pm, and if you're late then you've missed the event. So please plan on arriving early enough to be certain not to miss the event.
