Geocache Description:

The cache is located just off the highway, so watch the kids and dogs. The walk to the cache is short, but has a short, steep spot just before gz. For those who like to bike/hike/cross country ski, here is a link to a trail map of the area. http://www.uwyo.edu/rec/outdoor-program/_files/docs/pedal-house-trailmap-hj-and-ved.pdf

We placed this cache to celebrate the birthday of our great country. July 4th is one of our favorite holidays, celebrating freedom with fireworks, food, family, and lots of fun. The cache is located near the Happy Jack Recreation Area and the Medicine Bow National Forest where you can camp, fish, hike, ski, geocache, ride bikes and ATV's, and rock climb. If you have time, stick around and enjoy the area. We placed the cache just off a paved pullout along the highway. You can pull completely off the highway, but there is no place for a larger vehicle to turn around. The container is a camoed 6" x 4" round container. Due to winter snow levels and highway plowing, the cache might be temporarily inaccessible from time to time.
