Višnjan is a town and municipality in Istria County, Croatia.
Višnjan was first mentioned in documents in 1203.
The number of inhabitants of Višnjan in 2011 was about 2300.

In 1976 an astronomical observatory was built in Višnjan and the city became the astronomical center of the country.
