Una delle maggiori attrazioni turistiche di Colico sono senz'altro le sue spiagge, specialmente in estate quando si cerca di scappare dal caldo delle città. Solitamente non hanno attrezzature come panchine o barbeque ma intorno ad esse ci sono spesso servizi quali bar, ristoranti, gelaterie, ecc. Recentemente sono anche state rese più sicure dalla presenza di un servizio di bagnini.
Quella del Laghetto di Piona è una delle più belle, con il suo ampio prato erboso e i grandi platani che assicurano una fresca ombra.
