Geocache Description:

A series of traditional caches along the Tresavean mining railway line.

The trail is named after the famous Tresavean copper mine and follows the now dismantled Tresavean branch of the Hayle Railway from the Redruth and Chasewater Railway Trail.

The Tresavean railway was a horsedrawn railway for transporting copper from Tresavean Mine for shipping and coal from Wales for use in the mine. Many granite setts can still be seen in place along the length of the former track bed. The line was finally closed in 1936.

Tresavean Trail is a fairly flat off-road trail.
