Lake Manitou is app. 45 minutes SE of Saskatoon near Watrous. It has been thought of as a healing place with the water rich in minerals. The water many years ago was often carried away by natives for it's healing powers. It is still thought of as a healing place and is a popular destination for tourists.
The water is 3X saltier than the Dead Sea and this makes it impossible to sink.
