At the northern end of the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Wood is an area of ancient woodland. Its a pleasant area of native broadleaf trees and in spring the woodland floor is carpeted with bluebells. A number of new boardwalks have een constructed over boggy sections of paths one of which is close to the cache.
When walking through the ancient woodland on a section of the boardwalk you will see a twisted gnarly tree to the west (it may be muddy if the stream is high) Explore the nooks and crannies of the trunk.
