Geocache Description:

Here is one of the few authentic log cabins in Cobb County giving you an idea of how life was before development. Built 40 years ago; To celebrate Independence Day I have hidden my first cache. Enjoy!

It is September 9, 2014. I have been inactive for a couple of months due to surgery. I am finally on the mend and back again. I wanted to let everyone know that I tended to the cache today and replenished it with tons of geoswag and several trackable creatures and coins. (To those who wish to ruin this experience for everyone else by continuing to put garbage in this cache (empty wrappers and bottles), please STOP.) Thank you. I will be putting a collector's track bug unregistered within the next three days. Good luck to the FTF. (9-9-2014)

Happy Independence Day. This is my first cache so I am making it fun and easy for kids and families in honor of July 4th. You will see one of the few true log cabins in this area looking down the drive. A glimpse of what it was like in this area before development. Park across the street near the tennis courts and walk to the destination for the best experience or park at the entrance of the drive enough to get out of traffic. Once you have found the power pole you are there. You are looking for a traditional ammo box in army green. Thank you! (You are permitted to walk down the drive as far as the pavement and no further, if you desire a better look at the cabin.)./p>
