Max Bently was born on March 1st 1920 into a hockey family. There were 6 Bently brothers from Delisle who all played hockey. His NHL career spanned from 1940 to 1954 with the Blackhawks, Leafs and Rangers. He was a centreman who was part of the very first all brother line to ever play in the NHL when he played with his brothers Doug and Reg in 1942-43. Max won 3 Stanley Cups with the Blackhawks and played a total of 696 games in the NHL. He scored 196 goals and added 326 assists.
Max Bently was inducted into the HHOF in 1966 and he died on January 19th, 1984.
