Chopwell Wood contains 360-hectares of mixed woodland right on the edge of Gateshead. There are miles of paths throughout the woodland which makes it a fantastic venue for walking and cycling. The woodland has a really diverse history, with some of it going back to nearly 6000 years ago. This geocaching trail includes 17 caches plus a bonus cache which can all be found by following the official 'River Walk' through the wood. You can pick up the 'Explorer Chopwell Wood' leaflet on the Forestry Commission Website.
This is another disco cache, located on a path just off the main trail.
