Geocache Description:

What a WAPPA Event

Wappa Park

Come and hang out at Wappa Dam.Wappa Dam is located west of Yandina in the Sunshine Coast hinterland. The dam was constructed in 1963 on the South Maroochy River and supplies drinking water to the interconnected supply network.

Jack Harrison Park on Wappa Park Road, Kiamba offers an extensive open picnic area. The park is also the ideal spot to view any spills over the dam wall. The lookout is so close that you may get sprayed with water! The site offers a range of facilities including picnic tables, shelters and free BBQs.

The "What a WAPPA Event" is going to be a great fun day for all ages!

We will provide a sausage sizzle and cold cordial for the kids.

Please feel free to bring along a plate of goodies (sweet or savoury) to add to the spread.

Please BYO drinks and other meats if required.

Also please make sure you bring along your own chair.

Some seating and tables are available, but very limited.

There will be wonderful prizes and possibly a FTF Prize, so please make sure you register on arrival and grab a raffle ticket so you don't miss out on a chance to be a winner on the day.

Everyone is invited to come along and we hope to see all the 'old' faces as well as lots of new ones.

We will kick the day off about 10am, but you are more than welcome to come earlier.

PLEASE STAY POSTED FOR ITINERY AND ANNOUNCEMENTS.
