Walking by King George Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

TheVogonPoet: Hi,

This cache has been in need of maintenance for an extended period of time. Due to the lack of response toward the needed maintenance since my last contact, I am archiving the cache. If you do happen to complete the maintenance required and wish to activate the cache again just let me know and I will consider unarchiving it once the issue is resolved.

Thanks!

Geocache Description:

No need to touch the bike, some one who lives in the apartment may ask you not to touch the bike or bikes that are locked nearby, they are aware of the cache and may laugh at you if you ask for help

The cache is located on the boulevard between an apartment block and a Co-operative housing. There is no need to go onto private property or to walk on any of the plants that are growing on the boulevard please respect the garden.

This is my first hide in a great area to walk in during the summer.  The cache is located between tow diffrent types of houseing. The King George Court a regular appartment block, and the Bluestem Housing Co-Operative. Both are exemplary of the lovely old appartment blocks that are scattered threw out the Fort Rouge area. I love the Idea of Co-Operative housing.

Housing co‑operatives provide not-for-profit housing for their members. The members do not own equity in their housing. If they move, their home is returned to the co‑op, to be offered to another individual or family who needs an affordable home.

Across Canada there are over 2,100 non-profit housing co‑ops.Makeing homes for about a quarter of a million people in over 90,000 households. Housing co‑operatives exist in every province and territory.

Some co‑op households pay a reduced monthly rent geared to their income. Because co‑ops charge their members only enough to cover costs, repairs, and reserves, they can offer housing that is much more affordable than average private sector rental costs.Co‑op housing also offers security. Co‑ops are controlled by their members who have a vote in decisions about their housing. There is no outside landlord.
