2nd Annual Tri-CITO'thon Event #2 -Sarasota County Cache In Trash Out® Event

The second of three CITO's in the 2nd Annual Tri-CITO'athon in the Manatee, Sarasota, and Charlotte Counties today!

September 27 is National Public Land Day, so what better way to celebrate it by giving back?  There will be 3 CITOs in our area today...yes THREE!  And hopefully you can make them all! We will be providing some buckets and re-useable gloves.  In trying to make this "green", we will be using buckets instead of bags and recycling everything we can!

Event #2 - Sarasota County 11:00 am to 1:00 pm

The Sarasota County CITO will be at Arlington Park.   We will be helping the county clean up the park by picking up trash and pulling invasive plant species that wreck havoc on the native plant life.

Event #1 - Charlotte County 7:30 am to 9:30 am GC4N7J

The Charlotte County CITO will be at Stump Pass Beach State Park. We will be cleaning up trash on the beach, trails, and via water. So if you have a kayak or canoe please bring it! A kayak/canoe launch is located at the Park. There is a $3 per vehicle fee, please carpool if possible as there is very limited parking.

Event #3 - Manatee County 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm GC582BP

The Manatee County CITO will be at Emerson Point. We will be helping the County by picking up trash in the mangroves. You will be able to help via kayak, canoe or by foot!  Please wear appropriate clothing including shoes, also bring bug spray and sunscreen!!
