Hanoosh: Hi

As the publishing of caches has now commenced in England, Scotland and Wales the UK Reviewers have decided it is time to commence the background work of dealing with caches that have been disabled for two months or more or are in need of maintenance.

We appreciate that some cachers are still "shielding" due to COVID-19 or do not feel safe to go out and are unable to maintain their caches at the moment. If this is the case can you add a note to the cache page indicating you intend to maintain your cache at a later date. We do not require you to give specific reasons why you cannot maintain your cache at this present time.

This cache appears to have not been found for some time. Would the owner please check this cache and see if it still in place or give an indication of when it may be sorted out. Otherwise it should be archived. If there is no response to this log after 30 days I will archive the cache. In the meantime I am disabling it.

Guidelines:

  • You are responsible for occasional visits to your cache to ensure it is in proper working order, especially when someone reports a problem with the cache (missing, damaged, wet, etc.), or posts a Needs Maintenance log. Temporarily disable your cache to let others know not to search for it until you have addressed the problem. You are permitted a reasonable amount of time – generally up to 4 weeks – in which to check on your cache. If a cache is not being maintained, or has been temporarily disabled for an unreasonable length of time, we may archive the listing.

Could the cache owner please place a note on the cache page so that other cachers and I can see what your intentions are.

Please DO NOT send an email about this cache in case I don't receive it. Posting a note will ensure your cache does not get archived in error.

Regards

Brenda

Geocache Description:

The sign shows The Royal Crest and a Ploughman ploughing. THE PLAQUE presented to Her Majesty The Queen By the 1st Bircham Girl Guides & 1st Bircham Boy Scouts 1960

Great Bircham is the largest of the three villages that make up the civil parish of Bircham, in the west of the English county of Norfolk. The village is located about 1 km south of the village of Bircham Newton, the same distance west of the village of Bircham Tofts, 20 km north-east of the town of King's Lynn, and 60 km north-west of the city of Norwich

If anybody would like to expand to this series please do. I would just ask that you let SmokeyPugs know first so they can keep track of the Village Sign numbers and names to avoid duplication.

The cache is not on the sign but hidden nearby!!

Reviewer notes

Use this space to describe your geocache location, container, and how it's hidden to your reviewer. If you've made changes, tell the reviewer what changes you made. The more they know, the easier it is for them to publish your geocache. This note will not be visible to the public when your geocache is published.
