Geocache Description:

A series of seven caches following local footpaths to celebrate the cats that have shared our lives. All the caches are cat themed and intended to be child friendly.

Charlie was our first cat and he adopted us. It was mid winter with snow on the ground and he peserted to come in which could have been interesting as we had two dogs. Never the less he came in, walked up to the dogs, sniffed them and then walked underneath them with his tail raised. The dogs did nothing and so the streetwise cat made himself at home and stayed for nearly 20 years before he died and despite new dogs and cats arriving in our home he was always top dog (or cat depending on your point of view).

He could eat for England if allowed to and on one Sunday morning bought home a still warm roast chicken - we took it off him and tried to find the loser but none of the neighbours admitted it was theirs.

So what do you think was his best catch - a roast chicken dinner or a family home for the rest of his life?

The circuit around the seven caches is approximately 1.1 miles long and follows footpaths and permissive paths. The footpaths are well maintained and defined and can be accessed by pushbike and buggies although the going is a bit tougher between caches 2 and 3 following the permissive paths
