4.23. Unarchiving a Geocache

The archiving of a geocache is intended to be a permanent status. That is why only community volunteer reviewers and Geocaching HQ staff have the capability to unarchive it. This is done only in rare circumstances and only if it meets the current Geocache Listing Guidelines.

If a geocache is archived by a reviewer or staff for lack of maintenance it will not be unarchived.

Geocache Description:

Well! What a journey! On this same spot nearly 3 years ago I hid my very first cache. I was barely more than a muggle; I had done less than 30 caches and thought that a glass jar would make an appropriate container! This is what the original listing said:

this place (bobs lane bridge) has been a part in my life. It has been the bridge I have seen floods over, run over and seen many horses go over. Probably best to do this Cache during the week since kids play around near the cache on the weekends when school isn't on. But most of the time they don't play there much.

A lot has changed since then. HTML for instance is in most of my caches. Capital letters start (most) sentences. I have learnt what reviewers do in regards to publishing caches, and images are in many description pages. Anyway, enough rambling.

Unlike what the previous cache description states, there are no children that play here now. I assume that they have grown up and prefer their technology as a pose to fishing and playing at the creek. However, muggles are still about as this is a regular walking track for the locals. They can come quickly and silently, so watch out for them. The creek does flood, covering the bridge sometimes, so do not attempt in torrential rain. The container itself is a home made job (It's been a long time since I have needed to use power tools to make a cache!). The cache is a small, and can hold small TB's and GC's.

Happy Caching!
