Find the Magical Fairy Rock up Desolation Trail.
GPS can get tricky in the canyon. I waited til coords quit jumping and my hubby got the same coords on his GPS too... But just in case anyone has GPS issues here is a description of location. About 1-1 1/2 miles up the Desolation Trail while heading east there is an obvious trail split that goes "right" into the crevice of the MTN. There are a lot of fallen tree obstacles. Cache is approx 50 feet off main trail under the most hideous fake rock ever. My compass said 6115 ft elevation. Trade fair and enjoy the magic!
Special note: Hubby and I hid this on our 10th anniversary. We got married up this beautiful canyon and decided it was a great place to celebrate... We hope you find this cache magical. Happy caching!
Useful info: Trailhead is up Millcreek Canyon. There is a $3 fee upon leaving.
There is a parking lot and restroom at trailhead which is just after reception center.
Cache will not seem far but you get there via switchbacks... Plan on approx 1 1/2 mile walk up.
There are 3 fun caches up Desolation Trail. "Haus of Hans" at start. "Magic Fairy Rock" middle. "Bills Arch" at the top (approx 3 miles of trail up).
Bring lots of water. Dogs welcome.
