Geocache Description:

READ ALL BEFORE PROCEEDING TO THE GZ:  This series of caches is located up in DNR land behind this Big Yellow Gate.  DNR officials encourage hiking and biking on DNR land.  This area is not State Park land only a land trust.  So no facilities are available here – Come prepared.  DO NOT block the gate when you park – this area has already been logged, but you never know when they may want to open the gate and go through, there is parking for about 3 cars.  If you see equipment on the move, come back another day.  You must have a Discover Pass to park up here or face a possible citation.  You can buy an annual pass at authorized vendors, or one when you register you vehicle online.  The cost is $30.

The goal was not just to lay a power trail, but to show the beauty of this area.

The terrain is full of inclines and declines so good hiking shoes are a must.  Bring a lunch or at least water to stay hydrated.  Please don’t try this at night.  There are bears, cougars and coyotes that come out at night.  There is a ‘No Shooting” sign posted for this logging road – just be aware.

You will be on a logging road the whole trip, the caches are just off the logging road.

Cell Service is very spotty I would use a Handheld to make the finds.

**THERE ARE NO MOTORIZED VEHICLES ALLOWED ON THE LOGGING ROADS**

Enjoy the trip
