Our quarterly Blacksburg Meet n' Greet will be a pot luck picnic at Heritage Park. There is a parking lot along Glade Rd and the coordinates will get you there. A picnic shelter is near the parking lot just up the paved path. New geocachers are most welcome to join us and make some new friends in the geocaching community. And if you have been meaning to get into Blacksburg for some geocaching then this is the perfect opportunity to find some caches and have a picnic at the same time!
DATE: Saturday, July 26, 2014 TIME: 12:00 Noon
PLACE: Heritage Park, Blacksburg, VA (There are two parking lots for this park. Be sure you go to the posted coordinates on Glade Rd.) I also need to point out that to my knowledge there are no restrooms available so a quick stop in nearby Blacksburg would be advised.
To make things easier we ask everyone to bring their own beverages. As for the pot luck please put in your "will attend" response what it is that you plan to bring. This will help others decide what to bring so we don't end up with duplicant items.
We will also have a geocaching exchange. If each person would please bring a geocaching related item we will throw them all together and draw numbers out of a hat to see who goes first. We all have extra geo stuff lying around. In case you don't have any extra items I'm sure some of us will bring a few extras so no one will be left out of the fun!
There are a few geocaches in Heritage Park if you have not found them yet, as well as, tons of caches available throughout Blacksburg. Before or after the Meet n' Greet you can venture out for some smilies!
