Top Ardles Wood was created by the Woodland Trust with the support of the local community to mark the millennium. Trees within the wood include: ash, oak, field maple and hornbeam. There are good views down towards Ravensthorpe Reservoir which is to the north.
There are several access points but it is probably easiest to approach the wood from the north-western corner of Ravensthorpe Playing Fields. There is some parking here or alternatively park in Church Gardens and follow the footpath to the playing fields. There is no access to the wood from The Hollow.
Please be aware that it can be wet underfoot at all times of the year.
Go to the published coordinates where you will find a seat. You might like to rest for a while here to enjoy the view. On the seat there is a small plaque:

B = The number of letters in the first name of the person that this seat is dedicated to.
C = The number of letters in the first word on the plaque.
D = The number of letters in the second to last word.
E = The number of letters in the name of the tree that is directly behind the seat.
