Walk the dog Traditional Cache

A short walk on an unsurfaced grassy track from Limerick Animal Welfare shelter to a spot with good views of Kilfinane and the Golden Vale. There might be an opportunity to "borrow" a dog or two to accompany you.  The path is used by volunteers from LAW to walk the dogs.

The cache is available even when the shelter is closed.

Limerick Animal Welfare run a shelter for abandoned animals (cats, dogs, pigs and horses on my last visit) and try to find a home from them. Management are aware of the cache.

Normal outdoor footwear is fine on the path to this cache but if you want to continue to the 2 nearby caches, Killeen Field Enclosure and Poll na Fheirse, sturdy boots are required. (From this cache cross the stile and follow the enchanting path through the wood.)
