If you are lucky on a summer's day, the most you will have to wait between ferries is 45 minutes. On the day this geocache was placed, we waited for 2 hours and 30 minutes to catch the ferry, so we had a lot of time to think.
(Please note that this is NOT normal. It was because the large ferry was broken, and it was the end of 4th of July weekend with lots of people heading home.)
We love the ferry and take it often. This trip was worth the wait because we saw 5 very playful dolphins off the bow of the boat. There is extra parking at the ferry. You do not need to pay for the fort to get this cache.
You are looking for a silverish tube. This may be a challenge. You must sign the log to earn your smiley. BYOP
