Geocache Description:

This trail follows the journey I take each week to Huntly where I am a member of Aurora Theatre Productions. One evening, earlier in the year, I had a stunning view of the Aurora Borealis as I drove home. Two connections to the Aurora has made this a perfect title for my first trail of caches placed. Happy hunting.

This cache is at the end of the lane that runs down the south side of the new Cullen and Deskford Cemetery at top of the B9018.

Park briefly at, but don't block, the end of the lane for a cache a dash but if you wish to enjoy a walk down the lane you can park in the cemetery car park just a few metres away.

Although no unauthorised vehicles are permitted down the lane, walkers are most welcome! The area is very popular with dog walkers so I wouldnt recommend venturing too far into the undergrowth.

The lane leads to the gates of the Grand Entry to Cullen House,  former residence of the Earl of Seafield. The Earl now lives in a smaller white house opposite, the main house now being divided into privately owned houses and flats. Entry into the grounds is not permitted, EXCEPT on a Tuesday and Friday afternoon between 1.30pm and 4.30pm. It is a lovely walk through, past the house, to Cullen Square at the other end, any time of year.

The cache is a micro screw top capsule which includes log and tiny pencil. Please secure the cache firmly as found. It is not inside or anywhere near the grounds of Cullen House.
