A series of caches in the surroundings of Llys Nini Animal Rehoming Centre's woods & fields. As they look after animals some of the caches are named/themed to reflect the types they have.
CACHES ARE ONLY AVAILABLE DURING THE OPENING HOURS which are, 9:30 - 4pm (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday). The centre is CLOSED on WEDNESDAYS.
Thanks to Llys Nini for giving permission to place this series, the staff look forward to spotting you!
Originally a farm of 100 acres the main building & administration block is built on the footprint of the 17th Century Welsh long house. Llys Nini was also mined for coal & fire clay. When the adjacent M4 was built in 1977 the old St Dewi colliery was exposed under the farm's fields, and a ventilation shaft can be seen in the field with the pony shelter. Llys Nini Animal Centre opened in 1997, the now 72 acres of land are managed for the benefit of wild life & for people to walk & enjoy the rich heritage on site.
Follow the road into the site passing the vets & continue on to the main car park. Caches are available from main walkways or grassed walkways. To head into the woods face the main building head to the right where you will see the start of the path.
Camo'd regular container, plenty of swaps for Geokids, take a sticker if you want 1.
