Red and I were in this area looking over grounds we had driven past several times over the years and decided we would take a break from traveling and make a camp.
Looking on a map for the area, we saw this location and decided to head into here to see what was what and where was where and what kind of place it would be to camp out at.
The old road is still there but has gotten really rough with a few windthrows to go around, we suggest at least a solid SUV or pickup in the dry season, a 4x4 in the wet times, and stay the heck out in the white season. the road in from the South is no longer passable as the bridge is blocked off and falling down.
No potable water at the location, plenty of firewood and tent space, the old outhouse and a picnic table were burned up in the fire and are no longer there.
Your looking for a plastic Harbour Freight ammo can - Branded to show it is ours, with plenty of room for swag or trade items.
IF you are into old bottles, the fire has cleared off the brush and there were a LOT of bottles and cans exposed.
