This is a hiking Whereigo. You will not have to tax your brain. You will have to work those legs and lungs though. To complete the cartridge you will need to hike over 17 miles. This is very doable in a day if you are in good hiking shape. But it can also be done as a backpacking trip. There are several nice back-country campsites along the route allowing you to make this trek in 2 or more days. Just be sure to check in with the Park HQ to get your camping permit if you choose to camp. The Whereigo points should all be relatively simple, no questions to answer and you only need to be within 15 meters of the point of interest for the information leading to the next stage to appear. You will be climbing up Bird Mountain, traversing over to the lookout tower on Frozen Head Peak, and then taking the narrow Chimney Top Trail back down. The hike will offer scenic overlooks, interesting rock formations, peaceful campsites, mature woodlands and if you are fortunate, lot's of wildlife viewing. On my hike I stumbled across a box turtle crossing the trail, flushed turkeys, spooked several white-tailed deer and found a fresh bear-print in the mud. There is no better way to appreciate our wild and natural areas than to spend a day or two walking through them. Enjoy!
