Geocache Description:

You will be looking for a plastic jar with a red lid located on Honker Hill with a great view of Honker Lake and Honker Bay of the Lake Barkley reservior on the Cumberland River.  Inside you will find a logbook and pencil.

You can park at the parking corrdinates provided and make a short 0.33 mile trek across the dam separating Honker Lake from Honker Bay. Once at the end you will have a short climb to the top of the hill, where you can begin your search for the geocache.  After you have found the geocache, you have several options:
1) continue south for a 5 mile loop (Nature Sation in 3 miles) 3 mile option

2) continue north for a 5 mile loop (Nature Station in 2 miles) 2 mile option

3) explore the area for other geocaches ranging in a variety of types and of various diffulty/terrain ratings.

Regaedless of your choice, the Honker Lake/Nature Station area provides sightings of Canadian geese, blue heron and other water fowl, deer, turkey, squirrels, rabbits, an occasional snake , and eagles. You can canoe/kayak both the lake and bay and enjoy the views from the water.
