Geocache Description:

Congratulations to oldfog for the FTF!

TOUR OF THE UINTAS

Welcome to the Uinta Mountains!  This series of geocaches will take you across the north face of the Uinta mountain range to see the beauty and splendor they have to offer.  Not every geocache will have a view, but while driving from one geocache to the next please take the time to look around and see the mountain peaks and occasional wildlife.  These geocaches are not placed as a “race”—they are placed to allow you to take the time to enjoy the beauty that surrounds you.

Things we suggest you bring along:  Water, a lunch, camera, binoculars, a sense of adventure and TIME to enjoy!

While traveling along this series have fun and see if you can identify some of these places, just to name a few: Kings Peak, Gilberts Peak, Red Castle, Hole in the Rock, Stateline Dam, China Meadows, Marsh Lake, Gilbert Meadows and Hoop Lake.

**Have your cameras ready!  You never know what you may see along the way!  While placing these geocaches we saw: Deer, Antelope, Moose, Rabbits, Elk, Squirrels/chipmunks, Lizards and even a BEAR!!

During the winter months the geocaches will not be accessible.  **IF the roads are wet use EXTREME CAUTION because they can be slick.  Even though we rated the terrain difficulty as a 2, be careful of footing and tripping hazards.

PLEASE DO NOT REPLACE GEOCACHES!!  If you cannot find it DNF IT!  We will check and replace/or repair as needed.

***Remember the 15 foot accuracy rule---we used 3 GPS units when placing these geocaches, all had an accuracy within approximately 15 feet.  The coordinates will get you close but the hint will tell you where the geocache is.

HAVE FUN and BE SAFE!!
