Geocache Description:

This cache is part of a series celebrating points of archaeological and historical interest in and around the village of Aberdaron in North Wales.

It is possible to find this, and the other caches in the series, on a circular walk of approximately 8 miles starting from the National Trust, Porth y Swnt Interpretation Centre in Aberdaron. Care should be taken when walking on the Wales Coast Path, which has a steep drop to one side, but offers stunning views across Cardigan Bay.

At Pen y Bryn, on the north side of the road you will notice the concrete remains of a Second World War camp. This was associated with the Signal Station at Mynydd Mawr .This housed the workers who would have been billeted at Uwchmynydd signal station. Can you guess what all these different buildings were used for?

Ym Mhen y Bryn, ar ochr ogleddol y ffordd fe sylwch fod yna weddillion gwersyll o’r Ail Ryfel Byd. Roedd cysylltiad rhwng hwn â’r Orsaf Rybuddio ar Fynydd Mawr a rhyngddynt roedd angen cartref i 70 o weithwyr. Yma y byddent yn lletya. Allwch chi ddyfalu pa ddefnydd wnaed o’r adeiladau?
