WARNING! This cache is not for the faint of heart. I made it Spartan tough.
I plan on making several of these so look for more to come.
The cache is a Geocaching ammo can and starting out has some really good stuff. Be honest and take only one item and exchange well. Some of the original stuff I don't expect to be traded for evenly in value as it is a reward for facing this challenge.
This one will require a hike and a wading/swimming experience (probably wading as when I placed it the water was only waist deep at most). I love obstacle and mud racing and I have done two tough ones at the USNWWC.
This cache takes advantage of what this facility has to offer and takes experiences from my race. It will take guts and toughness to do this one so if you are afraid of a challenge or of getting wet, muddy, scratched, etc. then do not attempt it.
To get the full experience I suggest hiking the trail in the WWC that takes you closest to the river and not skirting your way in. From there you can finish finding your own way.
This one can be fun and I think it is worth the parking fee as the WWC has a lot more to offer as well. Bring something to keep your stuff dry and probably a change of clothes. Also, I have placed several replacement heavy duty ziplocs in the container if a replacement is needed. There is a pencil for the log but just in case you might want to bring a pen of your own.
There is significant CITO opportunity here as well.
Do NOT do this cache during flood or high water/strong currents or if it is too cold.
If you find this one and want to know more about its inspiration just contact me.
AROO!
CONGRATS TO jackhipi and jpoppyseed for FTF! Even though you used a boat instead of hiking in I'm glad it was still tough.
