Excavations resulting from the extraction of clay are claypits. They quickly fill up with water thus creating small lakes, which fishermen, sunbathers and hikers enjoy very much.
Calypits in Zielonka are great attraction for residents of Zielonka as well as neighbouring towns. The beaches and lawns around the claypits quickly fill with sunbathers on the first warm days. There are many attractions: a barbecue area, fireplace, outdoor gyms and playgrounds; the fisherman and divers can enjoy the lakes as well. During summer there's also a lifeguard.
