Fortress in Solvær
This fort, as well as other Lofoten was part of the local fortification that was supposed to protect these Norwegian islands. After the attack on Norway and its occupation in 1940, British forces together with the Norwegian made a raid on the Lofoten under the name Operation Claymore in 1941.
