Mt. Houkyou (Commemorative Stamp)
Mt. Houkyou is the second highest mountain in Tsukuba city. There is a pagoda named "Houkyou" established in the Kamakura era. You can observe Mt. Tsukuba and Lake Kasumigaura from the top of this mountain. In addition, when it is a fine, you can enjoy a distant view of Mt. Fuji. This mountain is selected as one of the 100 Mt. Fuji observatories in Kanto area.
After enjoying the scenery, let's affix a commemorative stamp on your notebook. There is the original stamp in this cache. Please do not remove it because it is not the exchanged item. The size of the stamp is about 4x5 cm.
- Let's go to the mountaintop and take a picture.
ALR: Please upload your photos taken on the mountaintop.
- Please go to the south direction according to a signboard 『史跡・宝篋峰城跡』 at Waypoint1.
- You will reach an open space 『峰城跡』. This cache is placed in a gap of rocks. The accuracy of my GPSr was 10m when I took the coordinates.
Please bring a GPS receiver for outdoor when you hike the Houkyou mountain because the GPS signals on mobile phones have much errors especially in the dense woods.

宝篋山 (登頂記念スタンプ)
宝篋山はつくば市で二番目に高い山です。山頂には鎌倉時代に建立された宝篋印塔があります。山頂からは、筑波山や霞ヶ浦が望めます。さらに、天気がよければ富士山の展望を楽しめます。ここは関東の富士見百景の一つです。
せっかく登ったので記念スタンプを押しましょう。このキャッシュの中にはスタンプがあります。交換アイテムではないので持ち去らないようにしてください。スタンプの大きさはおよそ4x5cmなので、それくらいのスタンプが押せる用紙をご用意ください。
- 山頂で景色をお楽しみください。

- Waypoint1の場所で『史跡・宝篋峰城跡』の矢印方向に進んでください。
- 『峰城跡』と書かれている広場があります。そのあたりの岩の周辺にこのキャッシュはあります。座標取得時のGPSr精度は10mでした。
アウトドア用のGPSrをきちんと持参してください。迷ったら来た道を戻れるようにしてください。決して携帯やスマートフォンだけでアプローチしないでください。
