I was walking along and I couldn't believe what I saw, a red herring! Red herrings are usual a bane to geocachers, but I decided to be nice and ask him what he was doing there. He said he needed help getting across the boardwalk, so I decided to detour and help him out. I guess the thorns right off the bat were really causing problems for him. Avoided that and continued onward. Saw an office building across the way, and a bunch of duck fights going on. Eventually we reached a muddy beach, so I asked him if this is where he wanted out? He was adamant that we needed to keep going. We reached the crooked gazebo, and I looked at him, but before I could say anything, he told me to keep going. After a lot of cattails I spotted some grass. He asked me to slow down, and so I did. The railing ended and we took a seat to the left. He peered about for a minute, said, "this looks good, thanks!" and fish flopped under the boardwalk. What a weird herring. Hope he made it home alright. If you see him around, tell him I said, "Hi".
