This cache has been archived.

TheCur8or: As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

This is an official camouflage 200 ml cylindrical Geocache. Bring your own pen please.

The Quarry rim walk follows the quarry crater rim and affords panoramic views of the Southern Alps and the city, although it can be steep in parts there are plenty of spots to take a break and enjoy the view, the track is suitable for all ages. Information panels depict the workings and historic features of the quarry and viewing platforms, the track descends to Findlays picnic area and back to the main car park. There are links to Kennedy’s Bush Road car park and track. You will find this cache not far from the car park.  The stone building nearby appears to have suffered earthquake damage from the Canterbury earthquakes and it is out of bounds.
