The birthday place of the Rubber plant in South East Asia. Ridley was the first Scientific Director of the Singapore Botanic Gardens from 1888 to 1911.Ridley spent many years promoting rubber as a commercial product, and in 1895, discovered a means of tapping which did not seriously damage the rubber trees. He was largely responsible for establishing the rubber industry on the Malay peninsula. He bought the very fisrt few rubber seeds from South America and planted in this historical place.
Facing the Shaw Foundation Stage, Chopin is on your right. The Cache is about 150m-200 meters right(ish) of Chopin. Hidden in the trunk of a tree whose truck looks like roots.
This park is extremely well managed and gardeners are meticulous. Tried to hide in a place where they they not new to maintain. It is not on the ground.
