This cache is just inside the gates of Muckross parish church.
If you have a time, take a look at the view over Lough Erne from the far end of the graveyard.
It is a small tab lock box with a logbook and pencil.
When placed it contained a Dunkineely to Ballyshannon 3rd class return train ticket, a toy soldier and an Irish 10p coin from 2000
The church was built in the Gothic style with nave and chancel. Entrance front has projecting gabled porch, pointed arch doorway, and lancet windows. West front has a pointed bell gable (with bell) left of centre and a large triple lancet window with tracery. Half-buttresses with columns. Sandstone with limestone courses and tooled sandstone dressing. Pitched slate roof.
Recently they added a toilet in the back in the same style as the church.
Services are in the morning on the 2nd and4th Sunday or every month, the rest of the time this is a very quiet area.
The Church Micro IE series is open to everyone; if you have a church you would like to place a cache at then please contact THE_Chris through Geocaching.com. This is to keep track of the numbers of the churches and give you the general format for the cache page. In the UK there are thousands in the series so we have some catching up to do! Also, if you currently have a published cache at a church that you would like to include in the series, get in contact and we can add it.
