Geocache Description:

This cache is on the way to GC56373

William Henry "Bully" Hayes (1827 or 1829 – 1877) was a notorious American-born ship's captain who engaged in blackbirding in the 1860s and 1870s and whose arrival on any Pacific Island would cause islanders to hide in fear of being kidnapped and shipped off to be a labourer on some distant plantation.[1] Hayes operated across the breadth of the Pacific in the 1850s until his murder on 31 March 1877 by his cook Peter Radeck, or "Dutch Pete". Hayes has been described as a South Sea pirate and "the last of the Buccaneers

All the caches have log books most have pencils and toys for the children, please only take one thing per person and replace with something else of same or greater value. There are some tags in some of the boxes PLEASE only take one per team and leave some behind for others coming along after you.

If you are in a team please sign as a team name as there will be plenty of people and the log books will run out and that would not be good.

There are plenty of cache boxes big enough to accommodate coins, tags and travel bugs.

Above all that you do today enjoy the walk
