hzoi: Would love to know who dropped the little rubber fetus in our cache along with the anti-choice propaganda. Thanks so much for forcing your agenda on others.

Geocache Description:

A nice easy letterbox, just off the green bike trail on the western shore of Lake Lawtonka. These trails, and this cache, are off limits during hunting season, 1 October to 15 January; any finds during that time will be deleted.

Over the years, we've picked up a number of signature items from other cachers: pathtags, custom dice, little skulls, even bags of crystal rocks. Rather than keeping them for ourselves, we thought we'd share them in this cache and give folks a chance to trade and to show off their own signature items.

Geocachers: the cache is at the listed coordinates. Please do not remove the stamp or ink pad, they are part of the letterbox hybrid cache.

Letterbox instructions: Drive to the cattle guard at the east entrance to the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge and turn north onto the road marked Lawtonka Access. Park and start your quest at the dirt cul-de-sac just south of coordinates, head north and cross the ramp fence to leave the wildlife refuge.

(Alternate route: park at Lawtonka Dam and take the blue bike trail along the south shore of the lake, this will bring you to the same spot and add about 0.75 miles each way.)

Take either the eastern stairs or the northern ramp over the fence and follow the green trail north. When the outbound trail forks to the east, look for a square sign that says TRAIL -> and for a nearby juniper tree; the cache is underneath.
