My daughter loves reading about the solar system, which has inspired us to create this cache! We imagine that we are the planets while walking on the trail, looping around the pond, or the Sun. Just imagine for a minute that a meteor crashed along the side of the Lake Loop Trail. Among the debris is a cache filled with stardust and goodies for the kids!
We hope you enjoy the area as much as we do! It is especially beautiful in the fall when the leaves are changing and they reflect beautifully off of the pond in the sunlight. Hawks are a very common site at this location. If you can't see them, you will hear them. Look for bluebirds as well. Every time we visit, we are muggled by the hungry ducks, but you are not permitted to feed them.
