If you haven't heard yet in August geocaching.com is providing extra souvenirs to those who find certain caches- among those Event and CITO souvenirs specific to August 2014. As of now there is only one other CITO in August in Arkansas and it is almost three hours away from Lower Arkansas and there are NONE currently scheduled in Louisiana.

Since we are changing up our annual Fired Up for Geocaching meeting place this year to the Arkansas Museum of Natural Resources State Park what better way to give back to the State Parks for all they do for geocaching by doing a little clean up around the grounds and in front of the museum to give back and show our appreciation as geocachers to them for all they have done for us. Pam Beasley, Superintendent of the Park, has given us permission to have the event here before the Fired Up for Geocaching Event.
We will provide gloves and trash bags to those who show up. If you have a trash picker upper or grabber feel free to bring it, if you have an extra feel free to bring it for someone who might not have one. Remember by attending this event not only will you get the smiley for the CITO, but you also will get a unique souvenir for your profile page for the CITO, and then the smiley for the event and unique souvenir as well. There are also a multi-cache, earth cache, and traditional cache in the park to get those unique souvenirs as well if you haven't found them yet too!
Since it will be very hot AFTER the event we decided to have this event BEFORE the other event when it is a little cooler. We will meet at 08:30 a.m. and conclude a little before 10:00 a.m. to prepare for the
Fired Up for Geocaching 2014
in the park.
