Geocache Description:

Edward Teach (also Edward Thatch, c.1680—22 November 1718), better known as Blackbeard, was a notorious English pirate who operated around the West Indies and the eastern coast of the American colonies. Teach captured a French merchant vessel, renamed her Queen Anne's Revenge, and equipped her with 40 guns. He became a renowned pirate, his cognomen derived from his thick black beard and fearsome appearance; he was reported to have tied lit fuses under his hat to frighten his enemies.

All the caches have log books most have pencils and toys for the children, please only take one thing per person and replace with something else of same or greater value. There are some tags in some of the boxes PLEASE only take one per team and leave some behind for others coming along after you.

If you are in a team please sign as a team name as there will be plenty of people and the log books will run out and that would not be good.

There are plenty of cache boxes big enough to accommodate coins, tags and travel bugs.

Above all that you do today enjoy the walk

Please be carefull of adders.
