Jim King Park and Boat Ramp
This cache was originally part of the 2014 JaxParks Challenge.
Since Geocaching and parks kind of go hand in hand, we decided to keep this cache around for you to continue to enjoy!!
GeoCache Description:
Cachers are seeking a small screw top container tucked away in the corner of Jim King Park. Nice view over the water just a few feet from GZ.
Park History
The site of a former commercial marina, this property was acquired in 1997. It was developed through a series of FRDAP and FIND grants, with the legislative assistance of Senator Jim King. It is the site of the annual Greater Jacksonville Kingfish Tournament. The Canoe Launch is currently under construction. Good playground in the back of the park and a nice view out over the water from the nearby boardwalk.
