Bravo! You've made it, though you've done worse, no doubt. If you timed it right, the blueberries and raspberries are ripe and ready. On the other hand, if you timed it right, there might not be any leaves, which would make for a nice view through the branches. All depends on your point of view. As a treat, I brought an ammo can stocked with fun tradeables up here.
A decent spot for a geolunch, good sitting stones around. Can be buggy, but also not. I've not seen a bit of litter up here, so help keep it clean and CITO!
The cache can be extremely tricky to retireve if it goes too far. I tested it half a hundred times, and was able to retrieve every time. Just be careful.
I've placed this series of caches in Balance Rock State Park to highlight some wonderful features that these forests have to offer. You'll start at the parking lot near Balance Rock walking on well used ATV trails, before strolling on bike paths, then bushwhacking to the top of Laurel Hill and back down.
