A bushwhack down from Laurel Hill, at this fascinating specimen! It went and lost its head once a time ago, and now its three big arms have taken over for it.
With your back to the cache, look a few trees uphill. Can you see the mystery? I've seen three or four of those around these parts, and no idea what the deal is.
Just downhill of the Survivor is a trail, you can follow it to Somewhat Wedgendary - BSRP 8.
I've placed this series of caches in Balance Rock State Park to highlight some wonderful features that these forests have to offer. You'll start at the parking lot near Balance Rock walking on well used ATV trails, before strolling on bike paths, then bushwhacking to the top of Laurel Hill and back down.
