Earthcache Discovery Challenge Mica
Some may know and some may not but we Geocachers love our virtual swag. Souvenirs and digital bling can be exciting to show off to our buddies and a nice reminder of accomplishments of which we have strove so hard to complete.
One of the most popular programs by Earthcache.org is the Earthcache Masters program. Awarded to a geocacher who hides and places a certain amount of Earthcaches. Their levels go Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum Earthcache Master.
However, there is a lesser known program that Earthcache.org grants fancy souvenirs for and it is the Earthcache Discovery Program.
There are five levels in this program:
Quartz: 50 Earthcache Finds
Mica: 100 Earthcache Finds
Garnet: 250 Earthcache Finds
Emerald: 500 Earthcache Finds
Diamond: 1,000 Earthcache Finds (And yes there are a few of those that walk among us that have done it)
This challenge is inspired by the Earthcache Discovery Program.
To qualify for this challenge you must have:
That's it. You do not have to participate in the Earthcache.org Discovery program to claim this challenge.
If you have reached that magical number of 100 Earthcache finds, I am sure you have seen some of the most breathtaking sites and the logs only tell half of the story.
You may sign the cache log before qualifying and log later when you do.
