Geocache Description:

A park and grab extending grilleverything's series along 302.  Pretty easy, and should be winter friendly until the snow gets too deep.  Usually pretty quiet here, except for church time and certain Thursdays in the summer. Then, watch out for muggles.

*****congrats to Snowsunflowers for her FTF*****

The series celebrates things that make us smile.  My twist on it is to tie the title with enjoyable things close to the cache.  In this case, nearby is a church that has put on a summer series of church suppers for many many years.  If you are lucky, and come about suppertime on certain Thursdays in July and August, you too can participate in this wonderful local tradition.  It is basically a potluck, organized by the church ladies, and held in the basement of the Methodist church. Members and other locals contribute their best dish.  If three people happen to contribute beans, there may be three pots of beans.  But you can bet they are good beans. A local chef often contributes a dish or two, which seem to be consumed by the first people in line.  Generally there are salads of several types, including fruit salads, green salads, pasta salads, and the much beloved church supper staple, jello salads. There are good casseroles to try, homemade rolls, milk and some kind of bug juice for kids and coffee for the grownups.  And then homemade pies of many descriptions.  You pay by donation, and $8 is the currently appropriate donation.  After the supper, about 6:30, there is often live music on the green, closeby.   It is what a small town community used to be like.   If you come on Saturday, look for the farmers market just up the street.

In your log, tell us your favorite church supper memories or stories!

The cache is large enough for swag and TBs.  BYOP.  Starting out with a tire pressure gauge, screw driver, and some stuff for kids, or kids at heart.   It would be cool if the you went to the supper after finding the cache.
