Prescott-Russell Trail Marathon:
a project to place some easy to find geocaches along a trail for the distance equivalent to a marathon (and more)
This cache is a short range one step multicache where, at the posted coordinates, you will look at a sign to get some values:
- Caledonia Springs station was demolished in 19A0
- D is the number of floors of the Caledonia Springs Hotel according to the picture (there are windows at each floor)
- Caledonia Springs Company was established in 1XEF
- The Canadian Pacific acquired the Caledonia Spring Hotel in 190B
- The bottle plant closed in 19WZ
- C = E + F
- Y = D – W – W
You will find the cache at N 45° 32.ABC W 74° 47.XYZ
Please don’t search for this cache until August 16, 2014 at 9:00 AM. I would highly appreciate and be very thankful if you can carry with you replacement log sheets while doing this serie of caches. Due to the high amount of incoming e-mail, I will not read every “Found it” log, especially if you’re using copy-paste without alterations. If you have a particular note about a particular cache, please send it to me via an e-mail or post a note.
WARNING: I highly recommend wearing long pants as you will encounter poison ivy and wild parsnip on the trail. Also, watch your kids and animals.
A shared FTF is accorded to the first geocacher that log the cache after 9 AM on the 16th of august 2014. A shared FTF is also accorded to any geocacher taking part in the « Geocaching Day 2014 - PRT Multithon » (signed the logbook) that logs a new cache on the 16th of august 2014.

Cette multicache comporte une étape est de courte distance. Aux coordonnées publiées, vous y trouverez une affiche et vous devrez obtenir les valeurs suivantes :
- La gare de Caledonia Springs a été détruite en 19A0
- D est le nombre d’étages du Caledonia Springs Hotel selon la photo (il y a des fenêtres à chaque étage)
- Caledonia Springs Co. a été créée en 1XEF
- Le Canadian Pacific fait l’acquisition du Caledonia Spring Hotel en 190B
- L’usine d’embouteillage ferme ses portes en 19WZ
- C = E + F
- Y = D – W – W
Vous trouverez la cache aux coordonnées suivantes : N 45° 32.ABC W 74° 47.XYZ
Ne pas chercher cette cache avant le 16 août 2014, 9 h 00. Il serait fort apprécié que vous emportez avec vous des feuilles de log de rechange si jamais le besoin se fait sentir. De plus, puisque je recevrai une grande quantité de courriels, je ne lierai pas tous les logs « Found it », surtout si du copier-coller est utilisé. Si vous avez quelque chose à dire sur l’une de mes caches, envoyez-moi un courriel via mon profil ou écrivez une note.
Attention : il y a beaucoup d’herbe à puce et de la berce du caucase le long du sentier. Je vous suggère de porter des pantalons longs et de surveiller vos enfants et animaux de compagnie.
